GRAMMY® winner Chris Tomlin continues to bring the church together in unity and prayer with his Worship Night in America tour, stopping in at the United Supermarkets Arena on April 25th, 2017.

This full tour follows a series of Worship Night In America events over the last two years including sold out Madison Square Garden, Red Rocks and other iconic venues.

Tomlin's 11th studio album Never Lose Sight recently released, debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard Christian Albums Chart. The album features the RIAA Gold Certified single "Good Good Father." Last month, Tomlin was honored as the fourth recipient of the SoundExchange Digital Radio Award, recognizing more than 1 billion digital radio plays.

Join us for a celebration of grape-growing and wine-making at the 2nd Annual Lubbock Uncorked festival!  Doors open at 4 pm and attendees will get to taste wine from all over Texas.  Local wineries will be there along with prominent wineries from all over the state of Texas.  A new feature this year will highlight wines from Washington State and Germany, beginning a new tradition of focusing on a different state and country outside of Texas.  For anyone that isn’t a wine lover, you will get to sample regional beer from all over the country.  If you don’t come for the wine or the beer, come for the entertainment – Luke Wade, Sean McConnell and Grade Spencer will be playing, kicking off their concert tour series right here at Lubbock Uncorked!  Additional information on pairing classes that will be offered is available on the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce web site at www.lubbockchamber.com.

Flatlands Dance Theatre invites you to Movie Night: A Dance and Sing-Along.  Join us in a dance through cinema history as we remember the great movie music from decades past! Viewers are invited to sing and dance along to tunes from films like A Hard Day’s Night, American Beauty, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Footloose, La La Land, Mary Poppins, Mission Impossible, New York, New York, O’ Brother Where Art Thou, Pink Panther, Purple Rain, Singin' in the Rain, Wizard of Oz and 007This is a show guaranteed to entertain everyone in the family, and is not to be missed! 

 

Movie Night will be presented on Friday, April 28th and Saturday, April 29th at 8:00 pm in the Firehouse Theatre at LHUCA (511 Avenue K). Ticket prices include a $3 Select-a-Seat surcharge, and are $25 general admission and $15 for seniors, children, and students with ID. Flatlands Dance Theatre is Lubbock's professional dance company established in 2010.  FDT produces and promotes innovative and diverse dance and provides community engagement initiatives to the West Texas region through a collective of working artists.  FDT seeks to enrich the West Texas cultural community by producing innovative and diverse dance works performed by professional artists. In establishing Flatlands Dance Theatre, we are particularly enthusiastic about the opportunities we have to engage with other individuals in the community who share our commitment to furthering the visibility of professional dance in Lubbock and West Texas.

His life was the subject of the 2002 movie, "Antwone Fisher," that starred Denzel Washington and was based on Antwone's memoir, "Finding Fish."

Based on the popular Whoop Goldberg film, Sister Act centers around nightclub singer Deloris Van Cartier. Forced to flee her gangster boyfriend, Deloris suddenly finds herself thrust into the confines of a convent with a habit for disguise! Unaccustomed to a low-key lifestyle, Deloris shakes up her sister sisters with her flamboyant tales of rock and Reno! The conclusion of this story is a "see it to believe it" experience you and your whole family will not want to miss.

This August, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers finalizes out summer season in spectacular style! Featuring many of the stunning songs from the film, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers will set your toes to tapping and have you humming "Bless Your Beautiful Hide!" for days! Set in 1850s Oregon Territory, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers tells the story of newly-wed, Millie, and her husband, Adam. In trying to convince her six brothers-in-law to marry (and move out), Millie faces the trials of teaching them about "goin' courtin'". The plan goes slightly awry when Adam reads to his brothers from Millie's book on "sobbin' women" and they decide to kidnap six young ladies to be their brides! Seven Brides for Seven Brothers is a marvelous musical you will love for a lifetime!
